Have you ever wondered whether AI could actually help you thrive after 65?
Meet Nancy Shenker, a 70-year-old entrepreneur, marketer, writer, podcaster and self-described “Robot Overlady” who has been playing with technology and AI long before AI became the buzzword it is today.
Nancy is the founder of theONswitch, a marketing and AI strategy consultancy, and the creator behind NANCYAF. She writes BODIES & BOTS on Substack, hosts the Age Blind podcast, and continues to reinvent herself with the curiosity, humor and willingness to experiment that have defined her career.
In our delicious conversation, we talk about what it means to stay curious as technology changes, why Nancy believes AI should work for us rather than the other way around, and what parts of being human we should never hand over to a bot.
We also get into vibe coding, using multiple AI agents to get different perspectives, how AI can save us time and energy, and why Nancy has created her own “70/30 rule”: 70% of her life should be spent doing analog, human things and only 30% should be screen time.
And then there’s the bigger question: What does life look like when 70 isn't an endpoint, but a jumping-off point?
Nancy's answer is deliciously Nancy. Keep experimenting. Keep creating. Keep learning. And don't let anyone else decide what you're supposed to do at your age.
Plus, Nancy shares the AI gadget she’s currently loving, PLAUD, which she uses to capture conversations and turn them into useful AI-assisted content.
If you're curious about AI, thinking about your own next chapter, or simply want a reminder that curiosity doesn't have an expiration date, I think you're going to love this conversation.
Check out Nancy's recommended app PLAUD here.
And remember: Age out loud and proud!

Looking for a few simple ways to age well? Here are two products I use and genuinely recommend:
🚶♀️ Favorite Walking Pad – I use it almost every day while watching my favorite shows. It's quiet, easy to store, and makes getting more steps simple and enjoyable.
🥤 Favorite Protein Powder – Getting enough protein becomes even more important as we age. This is my go-to because it's easy to digest, delivers 25g of protein per serving, and supports healthy muscles and bones.
Waving from Boston – cheers!
