Author, Composer, Speaker, Facilitator

My guest today is Steve Goldberg, author, speaker, and composer of healing piano music for a noisy world.

For most of his life, Steve didn’t think he had a creative bone in his body. He spent 40 years advising individuals and organizations through change, meaning, and transition.

Then Covid hit, and something unexpected happened. In his early 50s, he started learning piano. That spark eventually led to composing, recording, and releasing two albums of original healing piano music, Sweet Dreams and Calmer Days More Peaceful Nights.

It didn’t stop there. Now 75+, Steve recently completed a near-future novel, Renaissance 2040, about what it means to be human when machines do most of our work, along with a screenplay adaptation now sitting on an LA producer’s desk.

He’s also the author of Languishing or Blossoming: Living a Meaningful Life at Any Age and Finding the Upside: Practical Wisdom During Challenging Times.

He speaks on the topics of “Elderly or Eldering” and “Blossoming at Any Age,” and has created a robust self-assessment tool and curriculum to support the art of becoming an effective elder.

Finally, Steve facilitates a biweekly virtual Socrates Café, connecting people ages 60 to 90+ across North America and Europe for philosophical conversations on human meaning.

Steve is proof that reinvention doesn’t have an age limit. Please welcome Steve Goldberg.

Steve spent the first 40 years of his career helping individuals and organizations navigate change, meaning, and transition. He expected retirement to be a time for pickleball, biking, swimming, family, and friends. Instead, his 70s have become some of the most creative and productive years of his life...
